Aluminium frames go chalky, sills collect mould and dead insects, and tracks fill with grit until the door will not slide. We clean all three properly, by hand, as part of a detail clean.

Why It Matters
Frames and tracks are where the dirt actually lives. Getting them right is slow work, so it is priced separately from a standard glass clean.
Aluminium and powder coated joinery washed down to remove chalking, salt residue and mould. Timber joinery cleaned gently so the paint or stain is not stripped back.
Tracks are vacuumed out, scrubbed, flushed and dried. Rollers are checked while we are in there, so if a door is dragging you will know whether it is grit or a worn wheel.
The Detail
A detail clean covers glass, frames, sills, reveals and tracks in one visit. It takes roughly twice as long as a glass only clean, which is why it is usually done once or twice a year with standard cleans in between.
Salt air on the North Shore, around the eastern bays and along the Whangaparāoa coast is hard on aluminium. Left long enough, chalking becomes permanent oxidisation that no amount of washing will lift, so it is worth catching early.
