Yes, and we do both in the one visit. The top needs roof access and usually moss treatment, the underside is done by pole or platform with floors covered. Roof access is checked before we quote.

Can you walk on my roof to reach it?

It depends on the roof. We do not walk on fragile roofing or on the skylight glass itself. Where the roof cannot be safely accessed, we use pole systems from a ladder or platform instead.

My skylight is foggy between the panes. Can that be cleaned?

No. Fogging between the panes means the seal has failed and moisture is inside the unit. That is a reglazing job, not a cleaning one, and we will point it out rather than charge you to try.

Do you clean polycarbonate skylights?

Yes. Acrylic and polycarbonate are soft washed rather than scrubbed so the surface is not scratched or hazed.

Two Different Jobs On The Same Piece Of Glass

The top surface needs roof access and moss treatment. The underside needs indoor ladder or pole work without marking your ceiling. We plan for both.

The Outside Surface

Moss, lichen and roof grit washed off, with a treatment applied where growth has taken hold. Domes and polycarbonate get soft washed so the surface is not scratched or hazed.

Interior faces cleaned from platform or pole depending on ceiling height, with drop sheets down. Kitchen skylights usually need a degrease first because of cooking film.
