Getting It Off Without Wrecking The Glass

Scraping glass badly leaves permanent marks, and some coated glass cannot be scraped at all. Knowing the difference is most of this job.

New Builds And Post Scaffold

What We Check Before Scraping

Low emissivity, self cleaning and mirrored glass all have surface coatings that a blade will destroy. We identify the glass type first and use chemical methods where scraping is not safe.

Toughened glass often carries surface fines from manufacturing, which can drag under a blade and leave fine scratches. On toughened panes we work slower and wetter, or avoid the blade entirely.

If glass is already scratched or etched from someone else's attempt, we will tell you straight away rather than charging you to try.
